We know that finals week can be extremely stressful, so we invited K9 Vallie to stop by the libraries for a quick therapy session. Come to the Wimberly Lobby on December 7, at 11 am, to pet Vallie and enjoy a stress-relief coloring table. FAU PD and Owls Care will share information about the campus mental health resources and tips on dealing with stress and anxiety.

FAU Libraries celebrate National Native American, American Indian, and Alaskan Native Heritage Month with a Pop-Up Library of resources and gems from our collections. 

We wish you a Happy Thanksgiving! Even on the days when the Libraries are closed, we have plenty of online resources and study spaces available to students.

Florida Atlantic University’s Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts and Letters and the S. E. Wimberly Library recently celebrated the announcement of significant estate gift commitments from longtime FAU benefactors Howard Weiner, M.D. and Judith Weiner. Their generosity will enhance support to the existing Howard and Judith Weiner Spirit of America Endowed Advancement Fund and will establish two new endowed funds.

See the original comics that inspired the new Netflix movie “Slumberland” at the FAU Libraries’ Jaffe Center for Book Arts. Two limited edition books with “Little Nemo in Slumberland” comics by Winsor McCay will be on display until December 18.

New courses and practice tests are added to the EBSCO Learning Express, available to FAU students via PrepSTEP for Colleges & Universities, an online learning program committed to students’ success.

The latest exhibition at the Marvin & Sybil Weiner Spirit of America Collection, “The Morning Star of That Liberty: Controversy and Conflict in the Early American Press, 1735-1800,” offers a glimpse into the world of revolutionary newspapers and freedom of the press in the years before, during, and soon after the American Revolution.

International Open Access Week is observed on October 24 – 30. It is dedicated to promoting Open Access and the various ways students, scholars, and educators utilize it for teaching, learning, and research.
