Dr. Golian-Lui: "Welcome, FAU Owls, to YOUR libraries!"

Jaffe Center for Book Arts is hosting an open house for Letterpress Appreciation Day on Sunday, September 18, and Monday, September 19, from 12 to 4 p.m. Guests can tour the shop, print a souvenir poster on the 1890 Wesel Iron Hand Press, and watch PRESSING ON: The Letterpress Film.

This fall, the FAU Libraries will be offering a full slate of workshops designed to help you navigate the resources in the library to be successful at FAU. In addition to in-person workshops, several will be offered live online. All workshop participants are entered into a drawing for a prize giveaway.

As the Fall Semester starts, FAU Libraries return to normal operating hours.

A collection of print and electronic books, databases, and videos, the Pop-Up library is a helpful resource for researchers and those interested in the topic. Learn about Hadzabe, a forty-thousand-year-old hunter-gatherer tribe in Tanzania, one of the last ones on the planet. Then watch a story about the traditions of indigenous peoples in Japan and read about the history of tribes in Siberia, Australia, and Latin America.

The Next Chapter Book Club, hosted by the MacArthur Campus Library, is making a real difference in the lives of college students with intellectual disabilities. Led by library director Leah Plocharczyk since the spring of 2016, the club is a collaboration with FAU’s Academy for Community Inclusion and the Department of Exceptional Education.
