Scholarly Communication Services (SCS) provide support to all FAU campuses by addressing the wide range of issues related to creating, evaluating, disseminating, and preserving the outputs of research and scholarship.  Make plans to join us this semester for one of our workshops.

 

A new year brings a new exhibit. From collecting seashells to exploring lighthouses and all the state has to offer, our first exhibit of 2021 uses items from Special Collections and our main catalog.

Human Rights Day

On December 10th, 1948 the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Since then, Human Rights day has been celebrated every year on December 10th. This year's theme is EQUALITY - Reducing inequalities, advancing human rights. Check out some of the resources available at the FAU Libraries that can broaden your knowledge!

November is Native American Heritage Month

November is Native American Heritage Month. Check out this list of resources to join in paying tribute to the ancestry and traditions of Native Americans! A display of books available for check out can also be found in the lobby of the Wimberly Library on the Boca Raton campus.

October 25 – 31, 2021 is International Open Access Week.  Scholars have become increasingly skeptical of OA publishers because of deceptive ones.  To help debunk these perceptions and to help determine deceptive publishers, the FAU Libraries will be hosting a webinar, Deceptive Publishers: What They Are & How to Evaluate Them for Open Access Week 2021.
