Then watch a story about the traditions of indigenous peoples in Japan and read about the history of tribes in Siberia, Australia, and Latin America.

The Next Chapter Book Club, hosted by the MacArthur Campus Library, is making a real difference in the lives of college students with intellectual disabilities. Led by library director Leah Plocharczyk since the spring of 2016, the club is a collaboration with FAU’s Academy for Community Inclusion and the Department of Exceptional Education.

FAU Libraries now have access to PrepSTEP for Colleges & Universities, an online learning program committed to students’ success. The program contains practice tests, tutorials, e-books, articles, and flashcards. It is compatible with Blackboard, Canvas, and Brightspace. The Libraries have been awarded Tech Fee funds for a three-year subscription to the PrepSTEP program from July 1, 2022, through June 30, 2025.

A $617,000 gift from Charna Larkin will help to construct and name the Alan B. and Charna Larkin American Presidential Study on the third floor of the S.E. Wimberly Library at FAU’s Boca Raton campus. The premier space will house the Alan B. and Charna Larkin American Presidential Letters Distinguished Collection, and serve as a historical archive, a student study and gathering space, and an educational site on the American presidents.

John D. MacArthur Campus Library in Jupiter won an EBSCO Solar Grant to pay for the installation of a solar array. Promotion and tenure (P&T) are milestones in a professor or instructor’s career.  A P&T bid involves creating an ePortfolio to document one’s professional accomplishments and is subject to various levels of review.

FAU Libraries celebrate Juneteenth 2022 by creating a Pop-Up Library, an online research guide that provides access to many resources dedicated to the history of Emancipation and African American culture.
