Every day, locally and nationally, we are confronted by examples of intolerance, hatred, and fear of anyone who is different or who has been defined as the “other”. It is imperative that all of us challenge our own fears and prejudices, stand up in solidarity with those who are being targeted, and denounce the acts of hatred, violence, and bigotry.

 

We are proud to announce the FAU Libraries launched a new interface for our Digital Library, which is home to our Research Repository and Digital Collections.

 

In an effort to align with the university’s commitment to minimizing the cost of required or recommended textbooks or instructional materials to students, the libraries used a $75,000 technology fee award for ProQuest Ebook Central Platform.

Human library

KCJO Jewish Cultural Society Concert

The Florida Atlantic University Libraries and the FAU Jewish Cultural Society will host Aaron Kula’s nine-member Klezmer Company Jazz Orchestra (KCJO) for its annual concert of beloved Yiddish songs and traditional klezmer “freilachs and bulgars.”

Dean's Musings

Welcome to the new academic year in the FAU Libraries.  For those of you who are new to FAU, we invite you to discover our spaces, our collections, and the services offered by our welcoming, professional faculty and staff at three different locations: Boca Raton, Jupiter, and Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute. 

 

This October, three graduate students from across the country will be spending a month researching the Marvin and Sybil Weiner Spirit of America Collection, which is maintained and housed inside the S.E. Wimberly Library.
