What: First Aid Forward is a USMLE study prep database offering three textbooks: First Aid for the USMLE Step 1, First Aid Cases for the USMLE Step 1, and First Aid Clinical Pattern Recognition for the USMLE Step 1. Subjects provide quizzes and cases for areas from Biochemistry to Respiratory. Please note that features of this product integrate with Boards and Beyond which the Libraries does not provide access to.

How:
Steps to Sign in the first time:
- From the First Aid Forward sign-in page, enter your FAU email when prompted to be directed to the product's second sign-in page.
- First time users click the "send magic link." This will generate an email containing a link to the product.
- After clicking the magic link within your email, navigate to the upper right corner to click the user icon to the right of your name.
- Use the drop down to select "my account."
- To set up your account, click "Edit" for the password and security question fields (first time users may notice these fields are pre-populated with "shielded values" but this does not correlate to a complete account set-up.)
- Scroll down to click "Save."
Steps for Returning Users:
- From the First Aid Forward sign-in page, enter your FAU email when prompted to be directed to the product's second sign-in page.
- Use the bottom sign-in option to enter your password and click "Sign in"
Connecting to First Aid Forward Step 2:
- Users should make sure they are signed out of the Step 1 product page before registering for Step 2. Clicking the Step 2 resource link while still signed into Step 1 will only reopen the Step 1 resource.
- After clicking the Step 2 link, enter your FAU email in the first sign-in page.
- On the second sign-in page, click "send magic link" to generate the product email.
- After clicking on the product link, you will be able to access First Aid Forward Step 2.
- Use the drop down in the upper right page to toggle between Step 1 and Step 2 resources.
