He explains, "I began my academic journey in Economics when I initially began college and decided to pursue and build my career in the Financial Technology sector." For Alex, the Sandbox is more than just a space—it's a hub for exploration and innovation. He explains, "The Sandbox has to be my favorite place in the library because it allows students interested in advancing & has cutting-edge technologies and an open environment to discover and push their interests forward with the help of the library's resources."
Reasons for Visiting the Sandbox/Library:
Alex attributes much of his growth to the Sandbox community. He has overcome self-imposed limitations through open dialogue and collaborative events and gained confidence in his abilities. Reflecting on his journey, he shares, "When I first learned about the Sandbox, I remember feeling that I didn’t know if I could keep up with such intellectual undergrad, masters, and Ph.D. students. However, by befriending many of the students involved in the Sandbox at FAU & continuing to show up. Almost two years later, I have gained confidence in the space I am building, training, and re-creating my models."

Beyond his academic pursuits, Alex has secured multiple internships and job opportunities, demonstrating his versatility and ambition. He played a crucial role in revitalizing the FAU Investors Association and has earned recognition from industry giants like JPMorgan Chase & Co., where he's excelled in software engineering roles.
As Alex nears graduation, he looks forward to completing an undergraduate thesis in Financial Modeling using Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, cementing his legacy as a pioneer in the field.
