Instruction Services for the Boca Raton Campus

Instruction Services

The Research and Instructional Services Department provides the following services to FAU and Palm Beach State College (PBSC) at the Boca Raton Campus:

*  Live sessions scheduled by a student group may be recorded at the student group's request. Recording of live sessions that are part of a class arranged by your professor is governed by FAU's Guidance on Student Recordings of Class Lectures, available at Guidance on Student Recordings of Class Lectures. Also see First Supplemental FAQ on Student Recordings of Class Lectures.

Video Tutorials and Teaching and Learning resources

Materials and video tutorials about using the library are available for students.  Students can use them for their assignments while faculty and instructors can integrate them into their teaching:

  • Research Guides. Webpages curated by librarians with recommended library and information sources for specific subject areas, topics, and courses.
    • Request a Course Research Guide. Faculty members may now request a Research Guide for Boca Raton courses without scheduling an instruction session.
    • Do-It-Yourself (DIY) Research Guide. Find help on starting research, locating resources, citing information, printing, general campus information, and more in this guide. Available 24/7.
  • Video Tutorials. Brief videos that help with finding information, doing research, using library services, and creating citations.
  • Teaching and Learning Resources. See the Libraries' resources that can be used for teaching or self-paced learning that explain library information sources and topics related to doing research.
