Palm Beach State College Frequently Asked Questions

How do I access the FAU Library Building?

Access is open to FAU and Palm Beach State students, faculty and staff.  All patrons will be required to swipe their campus ID card for access.  Please follow these links for information on the Owl Card or Panther Card. 

PBSC students, faculty, and staff will need to fill out this form to gain access to the Wimberly Library and authorization to check out materials.  You should receive confirmation within 1 business day.  For questions please contact lycirc@fau.edu.               

Do I have access to FAU Databases and E-resources?

PBSC students, faculty, and staff have access to FAU Databases and E-resources while visiting the Boca Raton campus and inside the library building.

Do I have access to FAU Databases and E-resources from off-campus?

No, PBSC students, faculty, and staff do not have access to FAU Databases and E-resources from off-campus.  However, PBSC students, faculty, and staff do have access to PBSC Databases and E-resources from off-campus.

How do I access PBSC Databases and E-resources from off-campus?

By using OpenAthen. OpenAthens is a single sign-on (SSO) authentication system that allows you to access PBSC's electronic library resources anywhere.
