Media Center Equipment and Materials

The Media Center has audiovisual materials and equipment in the following formats; CD, DVD, and Blu-ray.

FAU Media Center Policy for Lending Audiovisual Materials

• A current library card is necessary for borrowing material.
• All items must be returned to the Media Center.
• Material will be available for loan with the following limits:
  • Loan Periods & Limit
    • CD's, DVD's and Blu-ray
      • 1 week
      • Faculty/staff are allowed 15 titles at a time
      • Students are allowed 15 titles at a time
      • Special borrowers are allowed 5 titles at a time
         

FAU Libraries Laptop Computer Loan Program

The S. E. Wimberly Library at Boca Raton has wireless laptop computers for loan. These laptops can be checked out from the Library Media Center (LY 122) for IN-LIBRARY USE ONLY.

The FAU Libraries have long term loaner laptops available to FAU students with a financial need. We also have webcams and iPad tablets available. Please visit this page for more details:

Viewing Facilities

The Media Center has a DVD viewing station located in the Media Center on the first floor of the library in LY 122.  The station is equipped with headphones.  Use of the viewing station is on a first come, first served basis.
