As a member of the Federal Depository Library Program and a State Depository Library, we provide access to government information resources to the FAU community, citizens of the 22nd Congressional District, and the people of South Florida.
Users have access to items worldwide through our Interlibrary Loan Department free of charge (in most cases).

FAU Boca library provides 28 group study rooms, 8 large study rooms for 3 or more people and 20 smaller rooms for 2 or more people.

Special Collection houses a wide array of rare, fragile, and unique materials from the 17th century to the modern era. FAU Libraries is home to the Jaffe Center for Book Arts, one of the few centers of its kind in the country, where you can learn about papermaking, letterpress printing, and bookbinding, as well as artists' books
Recorded Sound Archives (RSA) collects, organizes, preserves and provides protected access to digitized copies of vintage audio recordings.
FAU Libraries University Archives serves as the official repository for the permanent records of Florida Atlantic University
Our Digital Library Collections include rare manuscripts, Yiddish children’s books, historical student papers, faculty and student scholarship, open access journals, sheet music, oral histories, archival photographs, and more.

In FY2015-2016, the department offered services and resources to a population of 1,556 students enrolled in six of the university’s colleges. The library tallied 42,939 visitors for the year and 4,377 interactions at the service counter.
The library features a new recording studio which has the capacity to record in various modes, including computer, audio, picture-in-picture, and either presenter or presenter and panel views.
The campus tutoring center has moved to its new location at the library. When not used for tutoring, it doubles as a study room available for three-hour check out periods.
The library building houses the campus computer lab with 26 computers and networked printing solutions. The lab and the adjacent atrium are available to students with secured 24/7 access.
There are over 102,000 items available for check out within the library’s holdings. Among these materials are the capstone projects of the Honors College: the bound senior theses. Many of these theses have a virtual presence in the Digital Library. An open stack collection of over 2,000 feature film DVDs supports both curricular and recreational interests.
