Celebrate with US!

The Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts & Letters and the FAU Libraries have planned an exciting program of events celebrating America's 250th anniversary. The festival centers around an exhibition, American Revolution: Celebrating the 250th Anniversary of the U.S.

Each week, dynamic guest speakers bring the American Revolution to life from fresh and unexpected angles. From pop culture--AMC's Turn: Washington's Spies, SNL, Drunk History, and Broadway's Hamilton--to iconic moments like espionage in the Revolution, a "family history" of the Boston Massacre, and the global reach of revolutionary art, every talk uncovers a new perspective.

Our programs connect the Revolution to today. showing why this history still matters. And for students, we offer an unforgettable experience: George Washington's Ball, a hands-on historical dance workshop with live music and costumes.
