Lecture and Q&A

Even before the “shot heard round the world,” the spy game was afoot. Discover how the British could have ended the American Revolution before it even began and how leading Founders, including George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, and John Jay, had to learn the hard lessons of espionage and intelligence to win the shadow war for independence. Dr. Jeffrey Rogg is passionate about educating a more informed citizenry as it makes decisions about how to balance liberty and security. Presented by the Department of History and Florida Atlantic Libraries, and co-sponsored by FAU’s International Espionage Studies Network. Reception and book signing to follow! Stay a little longer and immerse yourself in the exhibition, American Revolution: Celebrating the 250th Anniversary of the U.S. from the Marvin & Sybil Weiner Spirit of America Collection!
