Due to the ongoing pandemic, the FAU Libraries are still closed. However, our librarians are available to provide expert assistance and offer research help. Our newest service enhancement allows patrons to directly chat with a librarian on our website.
When visiting our homepage and any of our LibGuides, a visitor will have the ability to open the red “Ask a Librarian” chat box on the side of the screen. The visitor can then submit a question to a librarian and wait for a reply.
The Ask a Librarian chat will be staffed the following days and times:
- Monday - Thursday: 9:00 a.m. to midnight
- Friday: 9 :00 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Saturday: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Sunday: 10 a.m. to midnight
If the service is not available, the option to send a librarian an email will be available.
In addition to this new service enhancement, FAU Libraries' staff and subject specialists will continue to offer virtual office hours. These online, informal conversations occur throughout the week. For a full list of days and times please visit here.
