Lauri Rebar, Associate University Librarian at Wimberly Library on FAU's Boca Raton campus, has been elected to serve on the Florida Association of College and Research Libraries.
Florida state chapter of the American Library Association's division of the Association of College and Research Libraries, FACRL strives to provide opportunities for professional development and networking while promoting the exchange of ideas and information. FACRL is open to librarians from all types of academic libraries in Florida, including public and private colleges and universities, as well as specialized research libraries.
Rebar is Instruction Coordinator and an Associate University Librarian specializing in Reference and Instruction. She works extensively with the library’s online research guide program (LibGuides), is active making online tutorials, and serves as subject specialist/liaison for multiple academic departments within the University.
Rebar collaborated and co-authored articles and presentations inclusive of the ACRL Framework for Information Literacy with university education faculty during her studies for her Master degree in Instructional Technology. She is active in emerging technologies and recently co-authored two chapters in a textbook on information and digital literacy. Lauri enjoys working with authors as co-editor of a peer-reviewed library journal.
