FAU Faculty Can Help Make Textbooks More Accessible For Students

Subtitle
A call out to the professors - donate your textbooks to make a difference

College textbooks are expensive. FAU Faculty, you can make a difference! Donate your current textbooks to the University Libraries Textbook Reserves collection.

Giving is easy. You can bring current textbooks to the S.E Wimberly Library during business hours or drop them in the book drop box near our front door if it's after hours. Textbook donations are also accepted at the Jupiter Campus Library and can be dropped at the Service Desk there during operating hours.

Provide the course name and code with the book and your name and email if you would like a donation receipt.

For faculty or instructors who prefer to loan their textbooks for a semester, see Faculty Guidelines for FAU Course Reserves to place textbooks and other course materials on Course Reserves.

A single textbook available via the Library Textbook Reserves means up to 150 students can access it during the semester. Students cannot check out the textbook from the library, but they are able to use it for up to two hours while at the library and use the free scanners to scan any materials they might need for class or further studying.

Professors, the University Libraries look forward to partnering with you to lower costs for students. Who’s in? Hoot! Hoot!
