The Instruction and Engagement Services Department offers library instruction, workshop, and tours for the faculty and staff
Faculty will continue to be able to access the full suite of electronic resources to which the library subscribes. In addition, there are a growing number of free resources that open-access and for-profit vendors are now making available electronically in the short term. We also have librarians standing by to provide one-on-one assistance to faculty. Faculty are encouraged to consult our Lib2Go guide for information on a wide range of services and resources available to them.
In addition, we will now provide pickup service three times a week for faculty who would like materials from the Wimberly Library’s book collection. This is only for material located in the Boca campus Wimberly Library. We cannot transfer material from other FAU campus libraries at this time. To take advantage of this service, faculty should consult the following guide: https://libguides.fau.edu/interlibraryloan/requestingitems
Pick-up times will be at the front entrance of the Wimberly Library M/W/Fr from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. starting Friday, March 20 and continuing until such time as the libraries reopen, assuming staff stay healthy and are able to carry this work out. Faculty will not be able to enter the building and browse the stacks. They will need to consult the library catalog and follow the directions in the above-referenced guide.
