Get all your library questions answered. Anytime, anywhere.

University Libraries introduce the enhanced Ask a Librarian service, designed to offer students seamless support and accessibility for all their library needs.

A major highlight of this upgrade is the 24/7 chat service. This real-time assistance provides students with help regarding library resources, services, and facilities at any time that suits them.

Furthermore, University Libraries have introduced a user-friendly Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) section, conveniently organized by topic. This empowers students to find answers to commonly asked questions quickly.

It is worth noting that while the email service remains unchanged, Ask a Librarian service no longer supports text messaging.

"Users get live assistance about library resources, services, and facilities on a 24/7 basis. We are already seeing that the FAQs are getting used, especially by new and returning students who want to quickly get answers to their questions," said Lauri Rebar, University Librarian and Instruction Coordinator

Students can now access support around the clock – whether they're early risers or night owls. Whether they are in search of library resources for assignments, need guidance on utilizing the facilities, or have questions about the services, Librarians are here to provide the information needed.

Rebar said the most popular inquiries include locating peer-reviewed articles on specific subjects, finding textbooks for classes, clarifying basic library services such as laptop borrowing and study room bookings, and understanding the use of Interlibrary Loan.
