Alexander Hamilton: Blood, Honor and Politics in Early America

Date: Wednesday, November 14
Time: 4 pm
Location: FAU Wimberly Library, 5th Floor

Dr. Adrian Finucane, assistant professor of History at FAU, will be giving a second lecture about Alexander Hamilton after an overwhelming turnout the first time. This presentation will explore the scandal, turmoil, and violence that characterized political culture in the first decades of American government. What drove U.S. Vice President Aaron Burr to fatally shoot his fellow revolutionary, Alexander Hamilton, on the banks of the Hudson River in 1804? You'll have to come to find out.

This Presentation is free and open to the public.  The lecture will begin at 4 pm on the 5th floor of the FAU Wimberly Library.  All visitors must follow FAU parking procedures.  The Marvin & Sybil Weiner Spirit of America Collection exhibit, "Alexander Hamilton: The Pen and The Pistol", will be open prior to the presentation.

For questions about this event, please send an email to faulibcomm@fau.edu

*Please note that this is the same lecture that was given earlier in the semester.*
