About the Music Collections
S.E. Wimberly Library’s music collection is intended to support the broad range of study and research on campus and is housed in the Media Center on the first floor of the library.
The collection leans heavily toward Classical and Jazz but covers many other genres. One can find the self titled release by the Dresden Dolls, “Legend the Best of Bob Marley and the Wailers”, “Sweet Singer of Israel. Ottoman Jewish Music from the Early Twentieth Century” from Cantor Isaac Algazi and even “Salsa Hits 2001”.
The S.E. Wimberly Library Media Center on the Boca Raton Campus also has a large collection of opera recordings in CD, VHS and DVD formats. Titles in the Media Center include; “Puccini's Heroines: The Power of Love”, “Nabucco”, and “La Belle Hélène” to name a few. Faculty, staff and students may borrow materials a period of one week.
Search Instructions
You can use the Basic Search in the online catalog to search for media materials by author, title or subject keywords. An Advanced Search in the online catalog allows you to limit your search to specific formats i.e., DVD or CD, and also to a specific location like the Boca Raton Media Center.
