Black History Month

Dean Carol Hixson discusses what the FAU community can expect from the Libraries in the spring 2021 semester in her latest blog. She says, "During the Spring 2021 semester, library faculty and staff will continue to serve the FAU community through a hybrid model of on-site and technology-enhanced services that ensure public safety while meeting the needs of FAU faculty and students." January 1 is more than the first day of a new year!  It’s also the day that many works enter the public domain because their copyright expires.

RefWorks Transition

Florida Atlantic University’s subscription to the RefWorks citation management software ends December 31, 2020.  To help facilitate this transition, the FAU Libraries offers a variety of free web-based alternatives. 

 

Through a statewide initiative, the FAU Libraries are transitioning access to e-resources authentication to a new system called OpenAthens.  This new service will be implemented November 12, 2020.

The FAU Libraries are joining colleges and universities across the country to participate in the National First-Generation College Celebration on November 8, 2020. Check out our resource guides as well as our first-gen staff and faculty stories about why they decided to go to college.

In collaboration with Beyond Food Program and Food Pantry, the FAU Libraries are making non-perishable food available to students to raise their food security level to persist toward academic success.
