Fair use Week FAU Libraries

Fair Use Week is February 20 – 24. The Association of Research Libraries (ARL) designated this time to highlight and promote what fair use allows with copyrighted works. Are you curious about using books, articles, journals, or other sources in your courses or scholarly works but unsure where to find information? See the following article for authoritative sources on copyright and fair use.

FAU Libraries Social Media Survey

Please help us evaluate the Libraries' social media. All responses to the survey are anonymous and reported only in the aggregate. The survey should take about 5 minutes, and everyone who completes it and submits their contact information will be entered into a random drawing to win a waterproof Bluetooth speaker. Instructions on how to enter the drawing are provided after the survey is submitted.

Stop by the Wimberly Library on February 22 at 11 a.m. to meet Vallie and enjoy the stress-relief coloring table, puzzles, and games. FAU PD and Owls Care will share information about the campus mental health resources and tips on dealing with stress and anxiety.

Leonard Baskin Exhibit at Jaffe

The new exhibition at the Jaffe Center for Book Arts, "Our Human Frame: 100 Years of Baskin," celebrates the centenary of the birth of Leonard Baskin and gives FAU community an opportunity to experience his art.

International Holocaust Remembrance Day

January 27 is the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau and a day to remember the 6 million Jews who lost their lives in the Holocaust. FAU Libraries honor International Holocaust Remembrance Day with Holocaust & Judaica guide containing journals, books, and primary resources.

Blind Date with a Book Wimberly Library

This Valentine’s Day, FAU Libraries want to help you find your love match – in a book. The bookcase stocked with "blind date" books will be available in the Wimberly Library Lobby from February 6 to 17. Browse the collection and choose the book that speaks your love language. Find a card inside a book to fill out a short survey after you read it for a chance to win a prize.
