FAU Libraries and the Division of Student Affairs & Enrollment Management combine efforts to expand the “Library Laptop Loaner” Program

Library Laptop Loaner Program
The Library Laptop Loaner Program was established during the spring of 2020 to provide students in need with high-quality laptops during remote learning caused by the COVID19 pandemic.  Priority is given to students with financial needs, which is verified by the Office of Financial Aid.  Students who are not currently eligible for financial aid, but are still in need of a laptop are encouraged to apply as remaining laptops will be assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis. All requests must be made by filling out this form.

Please note:  We also have a limited number of loaner Wi-Fi hotspots and webcams for students with demonstrated financial need. Verification will be conducted by the Office of Financial Aid and may require additional paperwork.

First-Generation Student Success Laptop Loaner Program
The Office of First-Generation Student Success and the Library Laptop Loaner Program have partnered to offer first-generation students with demonstrated financial need a high-quality laptop.  This program is made possible through generous donations from:

The Johnson Scholarship Foundation
An Anonymous Donor
FAU Student Government

All requests must be made by filling out this form.

Apply NOW!  Both library laptop loaner programs have a limited number of laptops.  If approved for either program, you will be contacted by a member of the library staff with instructions on when to pick-up and return your laptop.  Laptops may remain in your possession until the end of the semester.
