Tom O'Brien serves as an Assistant University Librarian specializing in Reference and Instructional Services at Florida Atlantic University. He holds a Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) from Florida State University (Tallahassee) and a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Rhode Island (Kingston). With over twenty-five years of professional experience in libraries and instructional services across various South Florida colleges and universities, Tom currently acts as the library liaison to FAU’s College of Business (the departments of Finance, Accounting, Economics, Marketing, Management, Business Communications, and Information Technology & Operations Management). Previously, he has served as liaison to FAU’s College of Education, the School of Criminology in the College of Social Work and Criminal Justice, and the Department of Languages, Linguistics, and Comparative Literature in the College of Arts and Letters.
