50th Anniversary

The FAU Libraries have just received a certificate from the Florida Department of State commemorating our 50th Anniversary as a depository library for publications of the State Government of Florida.

We are pleased to announce that the Wimberly Library recently renovated four restrooms to make them ADA accessible.

Kristy Padron, Instruction Coordinator and Assistant University Librarian, helped freshman-level students use library resources for research projects that were presented in a poster symposium this week.

We are happy to announce that the Wimberly Library is going to be open 24 hours, five days a week starting in January 2019 on a trial basis.

Every day, locally and nationally, we are confronted by examples of intolerance, hatred, and fear of anyone who is different or who has been defined as the “other”. It is imperative that all of us challenge our own fears and prejudices, stand up in solidarity with those who are being targeted, and denounce the acts of hatred, violence, and bigotry.

We are proud to announce the FAU Libraries launched a new interface for our Digital Library, which is home to our Research Repository and Digital Collections.

In an effort to align with the university’s commitment to minimizing the cost of required or recommended textbooks or instructional materials to students, the libraries used a $75,000 technology fee award for ProQuest Ebook Central Platform.

There have been numerous changes to the Wimberly Library for the fall semester. Dean Hixson shares what's been updated and what's next for the Libraries in her latest blog.
