Library and Chill included a full-day of activities in the S. E. Wimberly & Jupiter Libraries

Library and Chill, April 20, 2023

Over 260 students, faculty, and staff members attended the Library and Chill events hosted by the S.E. Wimberly Library and Jupiter Campus Library on April 20.

The event was designed to provide students with a supportive environment to relax and de-stress during the finals part of the spring semester. A range of stress-relieving activities was available, including yoga, board games, coloring, meditation, and a therapy dog visit. Students also had the opportunity to get tips on mental health and well-being from Owls Care and Campus Rec, browse Feel Good books, and enjoy free doughnuts and coffee with the Dean of Libraries, Dr. Linda Golian-Lui.

Owlsley, the university's mascot, made an appearance for photo opportunities and walked around the library to cheer students on as they were studying for exams. The event was open to all students, and attendees were encouraged to bring a friend or study buddy. Library and Chill provided a much-needed break and an opportunity to connect with fellow students over light refreshments.
