Reference & Instruction Services, including Literature Search & Literature Review- HBOI campus only

FAU Libraries at the Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute (HBOI) supports faculty and student research through reference services, one-on-one consultations, classroom instruction, and workshops relevant to the research process.

HBOI staff, faculty, students, and researchers can request the following library services:

Research Assistance: Ask a Librarian: Request help via chat, text, or email. Chat is available 24/7.
Research Consultations and Orientations: Schedule a consultation virtually or face-to-face.
Library Instruction: Request a librarian to provide an orientation or discipline-focused instruction to your course; can be done virtually or asynchronously.
Literature Search: An FAU librarian conducts a literature search or review (based on available staff).
