The FAU Libraries are pleased to announce that we have become a content contributing partner to The Sunshine State Digital Network! Our first digital collection we've shared is the Marvin E. Kemery Digital Collection: Letters Home from a World War 1 Soldier. 

 

While some horror films feature blood-curdling scores (Jaws, Halloween, The Exorcist), there are certain songs that will forever be associated with the movies they helped make all the more terrifying. For all our spooky lovers out there, here are six vintage songs made infinitely creepier by horror movies, four of which you can find here at the Recorded Sound Archives.

It’s international Open Access Week, and this year’s theme is “Open for Whom? Equity in Open Knowledge,” which ponders whether and how sharing knowledge is capturing and prioritizing all voices and particularly those in underrepresented groups. Barb Schmidt Fellows

The Jaffe Center for Book Arts hosted the Barb Schmidt Fellows on Saturday October 14, 2019 for a day of art, learning and fun at the Wimberly Library.

 

Spirit of America

This October three scholars from across the country will visit Florida Atlantic University’s S.E. Wimberly Library to use the Marvin and Sybil Weiner Spirit of America Collection to conduct unique research, and present at an annual symposium.

The FAU Libraries invite you to celebrate Banned Books Week with us! Each year we take a moment to highlight different books that have been banned at libraries and schools across the United States reasons such as sexual content, explicit language, religion, etc.
