Virtual Tour

While we currently only have the first floor open for students, we are still here to connect with you virtually. Not only do we have a comprehensive list of all our online resources on our Lib2Go page, but we have also created a 360 video tour that allows you to see the full extend of all our spaces.

Over the past 8 months, the Libraries have continued to serve our students and faculty in traditional and new ways.  Most of our staff have continued to work remotely since mid-March.  While our buildings are not fully opened yet, we are continuing to serve the FAU community.

The FAU Libraries proudly support the experiences of all first-generation students, faculty and staff. Like past years, we are joining colleges and universities across the country to participate in the National First-Generation College Celebration on November 8, 2020.

The Government Information & Maps Department of FAU’s Wimberly Library has put together an online guide with state, local, and federal government resources on what you need to know to register to vote.  You will be able to research whether you are eligible to vote, where to register, options for submitting your ballot, and more.

Have you been unable to read an article or other publication because you had to pay for it?  For professors and researchers, are you frustrated by limited options for sharing or posting your published scholarly work?  If so, Open Access is a response to these scenarios.

While we’ve never had a semester like this, FAU Libraries’ staff has still been working hard to get students the help they need! Our Instruction and Engagement Services Department quickly adapted to remote learning by offering virtual office hours, staffing the “Ask a Librarian” chat, and connecting with students one-on-one. During the several months that we’ve been remote, our services have made an impact on students and staff.

In response to student needs and in support of programs such as the Educate Tomorrow program, the FAU Wimberly Library has created a space for students to reserve a quiet, private spot to take exams.

Hispanic Heritage Month Graphic

Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with the FAU Libraries! The 2020 Hispanic Heritage Month theme is “Hispanics: Be Proud of Your Past, Embrace the Future.” The theme invites all of us to take pride in the accomplishments of Hispanic/Latinxs and reflect on how Latinx contributions have enriched our daily lives and can lead us forward into a more inclusive future.
