Our stacks are now open. Materials can still be checked out online from the Wimberly Library by students, faculty, and staff from FAU and Palm Beach State. There is a maximum of 10 items per day per person. Please fill out this form to request materials.
- Computer Labs

All computer labs in the Wimberly Library and Jupiter Library are open. This includes the Alumni Alcove in the west wing, the computers in the east wing of the Wimberly Library, and the second-floor computer lab. In Jupiter, this includes the PCs on the library's first floor, as well as the 24/7 computer lab adjacent to the library.

- Interlibrary Loan

Physical materials located at the Boca Campus Wimberly Library and Jupiter Campus Library are available for paging by FAU and PBSC students, staff, and faculty at this link. You may request up to 20 items per day. All physical materials will be placed in our new 24/7 contactless locker delivery system and will be available for pickup for 24 hours.
We are happy to announce that we are again able to process Interlibrary Loan requests for physical materials in addition to electronically delivered book chapters and articles. Please visit https://fau.illiad.oclc.org/illiad/Logon.html
Uborrow is also now available for requesting materials from participating libraries within Florida's state University/College library system.

- Who can access the library buildings?

Access is open to the public, FAU, and Palm Beach State students. Members of the FAU & PBSC community will be required to swipe their campus ID card for access. Please follow these links for information on the Owl Card or Panther Card.
PBSC students, faculty, and staff will need to fill out this form to gain access to the Wimberly Library and authorization to check out materials. You should receive confirmation within 1 business day. For questions please contact lycirc@fau.edu.
- Do I have to wear a face-covering while in the library?

In accordance with the FAU policy, "wearing of face coverings is now expected while on campus.
- How can I get help remotely?

There are many ways you can connect with library faculty and staff for assistance. Ask a Librarian is available to chat, text, or email. You can connect directly with library staff or a subject specialist during Virtual Office Hours. Click on the red pop-out banner on any web page to chat directly with a librarian.
- What spaces are available in the library?

All floors are now open for access. Requests for materials can be made online and will be delivered via a low/no contact process.
- Are food and drinks allowed in the library?

- Can I check out a study room?

We will have a very limited number of group study rooms available for the fall semester. These will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Can I still access the online resources and services?

Absolutely! Whether you are on campus or learning from a distance we have many services and resources available online. Visit Lib2Go for a full listing of all our remote services and resources. Palm Beach State College students, faculty, and staff should refer to the Palm Beach State College website for remote access to databases.
- What technology is available to check out?

There are a limited number of laptops available to FAU students for short-term loans. Students requesting laptop loans due to financial hardship must fill out All requests for a laptop loan due to financial hardship must be submitted via the link found on this page.
- My exam requires LockDown Browser and a webcam to take an exam. Is that available in the library?

Yes, the computers in the Wimberly and Jupiter Library have been enabled with webcams and LockDown Browser so you can take your exams at the library during library hours

- Can the general public enter our buildings?

Yes, the general public can access our facilities during limited times. When approaching the gates please notify the Service Desk you are a member of the public and you will be granted entry. You will also need to notify the service desk when you leave to open the gates.

Our agreements with all vendors do not allow remote access to electronic resources to anyone who does not have an FAU NetID.
